Report: NASDAQ, NYSE halt trading in Russian stocks
MOSCOW, Mar 1 (PRIME) -- The NASDAQ stock exchange and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) suspended on Monday trading in the shares of Russian companies, the Wall Street Journal said, citing the trading platforms.
NYSE suspended trading in the securities of Mechel, Cian and MTS. On NASDAQ, trading in shares of Yandex and Ozon was halted.
According to the newspaper’s sources, the suspension is temporary, while the regulatory authorities of the stock exchanges are studying the sanctions imposed on Russia. Sources specified that for the time being, delisting is not on the table.
